The Harrison Payne Initiative (THPI) supports families impacted by beach or road crash trauma. Created in loving memory of Harrison, we aim to turn tragedy into strength, offering care, connection, and support to those grieving the loss of a loved one. No one should walk this journey alone — together, we can make a difference.

Support the Renaming of Ocean Beach Access Track to “Harrison Payne Track”

Moreton Bay Regional Council is considering renaming the Ocean Beach Access Track at Woorim to “Harrison Payne Track”, in memory of 18-year-old Harrison “Harry” Payne, who tragically lost his life in a beach crash in 2021.

Harry was a passionate young 4WDer, and his family has since founded the Harrison Payne Initiative (THPI) — a not-for-profit focused on promoting safety and supporting families affected by road and beach crashes. Their message, “Strength to Change,” reflects their hope to turn tragedy into awareness and action.

This proposed renaming, along with a commemorative history board, aims to honour Harry’s legacy and raise awareness around safe and responsible off-road driving.

Public consultation is now open. We encourage all 4WD QLD clubs and members to show their support by submitting feedback to Council.
