Fraser Island Clean Up
Four Wheel Drive Queensland has been cleaning up Fraser Island (K’gari) since 2001 with the event held annually over a weekend with Four Wheel Drive Queensland affiliated clubs, their members and sponsored visitors volunteering their time to clean and weed this World Heritage Island.
Four Wheel Drive Queensland works closely with Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service as the driving force behind this event. Four Wheel Drive Queensland Fraser Island K’gari Clean Up does not receive government funding and therefore we solely rely on support from Sponsors to ensure the events continuation into the future.
Four Wheel Drive Queensland is the peak body representing the common interest of four wheel drive owners and club members across Queensland. By advocating on behalf of our members, we aim to improve recreational four wheel driving, protect the environment, encourage education and knowledge sharing whilst creating fun and active outdoor communities across Queensland.
The 4WD Queensland Corroboree is held annually over a long weekend and is open to all Four Wheel Drive Queensland Association affiliated clubs and their members. It is an opportunity for all member clubs to come together to attend the Association Country meeting with reports on their activities for the year and to discuss relevant issues to all clubs.
The Corroboree is about exchanging ideas as clubs come together to enjoy trips of a regional area, with a mix of easy to medium and hard trips, lasting no longer than 4 to 5 hours at a time. Over the weekend there are many other activities including entertainment, local attractions, raffle draws and more.
National 4X4 Outdoors Show
The National 4×4 Outdoors Show is held in Brisbane over three big days. Spanning over the RNA Showgrounds, thousands of products will be on show from the industry’s leading outdoor lifestyle brands and retailers.
Including off-road camper trailers, caravans and tents, new model 4WDs and aftermarket accessories, camping gear, fishing gear and so much more – all in the one spot.
4WD Queensland and several clubs have stands each year at the show to encourage four wheel drivers to join clubs and promote the benefits of belonging to a club.
