Event Information

 

AROUND THE GROUNDS

Entry to Site – Gates open at 3pm Thursday for those registered for Thursday night camping. Friday morning gates will open at 8am. Entry will be via the Main Gate in Neurum Rd. You will be directed by volunteers to your clubs camp area to set up then please proceed to registration office to check in for the event.

Please no walk-ins and do not block the gate! If you cannot proceed through the gate, please pull over on the side of the road until clear. 

10 KPH SPEED LIMIT at all times.

Camping and Sign-in – 

Whilst we have made all efforts to ensure there is ample room for all campsites/caravans please be mindful that this is a large event with access required for all participants.

Please allow a minimum of 4m wide for vehicle traffic areas.

Once you are settled in your assigned camp area – please come to the event office location (see map) to complete your sign in for this event. Here you will collect your Event Bag, merchandise, purchase raffle tickets and view the trip registration area.

Once checked in you will receive a vehicle sticker to be placed on your windscreen – this needs to remain in place until the end of the event to authorise your vehicle into the Showgrounds. 

Extra vehicles will need to park in designated parking areas not at your camp.

Rules of the Grounds – Reminder:

  • No pets * No glass * No generators
  • No fires except in the communal area near the office.
  • Limit noise after 10 pm

 

Late Arrivals - Please contact us on Mobile 0436 118 609 or UHF Channel 10 if you are arriving after 7pm at night and someone will direct you to your camp site.(gates will be closed but not locked after 7pm).

The Office - Please know the Office Location – for First Aid, Event Registration, Trip registration, raffle tickets. 

The Map - The map shows sponsor stands, facilities, band locations, designated camping areas and Trip Lanes.

UHF Channel – UHF Channel 10 is the Showgrounds channel and shall be monitored throughout the event. If there is an issue please make use of this frequency.

Amenities – There are the following amenities available onsite, please refer to Showgrounds map for locations. Groups have been allocated positions based on size and requirements for access to services.

  • Male and Female showers
  • Toilets (multiple blocks) plus port-a-loos
  • Dump point 
  • Limited water taps (no washing down of vehicles)
  • Limited Power (15 amp outlets)
  • Rubbish bins 
  • Recycling Cages for cans and bottles

 

Exiting Site – Follow directions signs for one way travel.

FOOD AND MEALS

Breakfasts, Lunch, Dinners and Brewed Coffee and Drinks – Will be available from the food vendors in the show arena over the weekend.

Woodford has a good variety of restaurants and take-a-way food shops. The Woodford Pub provides a great meal and country atmosphere.

Saturday – At the Country meeting, hot water, tea and coffee and sandwiches will be available as well as a slice of the Corroboree Cake.

ENTERTAINMENT

Friday Meet and Greet – We will have a communal fire area with live music from 'Just Jamin' from 7pm along with lucky vehicle draw and prizes.

Saturday – Meeting at 1 pm sharp in the Pavilion Hall is followed by fun and games at the Interclub Games on the Main Oval (see below). Children will be entertained with games during the meeting on the main oval.

Saturday Night  - Live Music ‘Mangroves Band’ on the main oval from 7:00 pm. Bring chairs for a rocking good night along with lucky vehicle draw and prizes.

Sunday Night - Presentations and Raffle prizes will be drawn on the main oval from 5.00 pm. This will be followed by the 2024 NRL Grand Final projected onto a big screen in the Pavilion Hall at 6.30pm.

COMPETITION TIME

Interclub Competition - Saturday afternoon fun for Clubs to win bragging rights as they go head to head with games inside and outside the Main Oval including, Sinister Offroad Flex Ramp Comp and the Ironman 4x4 Tug-of-Snatch! (More info on games to come)

AROUND TOWN

Supporting local businesses – Don’t forget to support businesses in the region as this is one of the main reasons we hold the event in a country town.

Woolworths: Crn Archer Street and George Street enter behind the Pub. Open every day, check their website for operating hours. Peries IGA : on Highway will be open every day, check their website for operating hours.

Woodford has a good variety of restaurants and take-a-way food shops. The Woodford Pub provides a great meal and country atmosphere.

TRIPS

Trip Registrations – Trip registrations will open Friday afternoon for Saturday trips and Saturday afternoon for Sunday trips. Members will sign directly onto trip sheets.

Trip Departures – All guided trips will depart through the bottom gate.

Trip Requirements – Please remember to be safe and do the following:

  • Closed in footwear for all trips and bring a hat.
  • BYO Food/water supplies 
  • Pre-registration for trips is required to ensure appropriate vehicle numbers – please check with trip registrations at the Trip registration area for updates on availability.
  • ALL VEHICLES MUST BE SUITABLE FOR TRIP RATING
  • ALL VEHICLES MUST HAVE UHF
  • ALL VEHICLES MUST HAVE RATED RECOVERY GEAR SUITABLE FOR TRIP AND VEHICLE
  • ALL VEHICLES MUST BE MECHANICALLY SOUND AND HAVE ADEQUATE FUEL
  • ALL DRIVERS MUST KNOW AND FOLLOW CONVOY PROCEDURES (Please use radios for each turn or significant waypoint!)
  • ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST FOLLOW ANY reasonable INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN BY TRIP LEADERS
  • YOUR VEHICLE WILL BE INSPECTED BY TRIP LEADERS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. IF THEY DEEM YOUR VEHICLE ISN’T SUITABLE FOR TRIP YOU WON’T BE ABLE TO ATTEND

First Aid and Medical

First Aid – There is a First Aid area, manned by a First Aid officer. Please familiarise yourself with its location upon arrival. There will also be de-fibs onsite. There is an ambulance station in Woodford 200 Archer Street. The nearest hospital is Kilcoy Hostpital 12 Kropp Street Kilcoy or Caboolture 97-120 McKean Street Caboolture. 

In the event of an emergency please call 000 and then notify officials if possible. 

Fire

Fire In the event of an uncontrolled fire please call 000.
