The Four-Wheel Drive Association QLD is still looking for people to help out on the Committee.
We are looking for somebody to assist in the Public Relations position.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Media & Communications
-
Act as the primary media contact for 4WD QLD.
-
Prepare and distribute media releases, newsletters, and announcements.
-
Maintain positive relationships with journalists, media outlets, and community partners.
-
Liaison with Exhibitions and Trade Fairs for the annual National 4x4 Show in Brisbane.
-
Brand & Image Management
-
Ensure consistent and professional use of the 4WD QLD brand and messaging.
-
Promote the Association’s initiatives, events, and campaigns (e.g., 4WD QLD K’gari Clean Up, Meetup weekends, training programs etc.).

Branding marketing within the association (merchandise, equipment, stickers and business cards etc).

Events
-
Coordinate with Exhibitions and Trade Fair for the National 4x4 Show for Club space and 4WD QLD Adventure area. Max of (9) clubs.

Coordinate Clubs attending for stand areas and organise (4) clubs each year to present at Trips n Tracks Stage.

Digital & Social Media
-
Manage and coordinate official social media channels and online presence.
-
Oversee content creation, scheduling, and engagement with the 4WD QLD community.

Monitor and respond to online enquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Sponsorship & Stakeholder Engagement
-
Support sponsorship and partnership activities through media coverage and recognition.
-
Work collaboratively with sponsors to ensure brand exposure obligations are met.

Liaise with government agencies, clubs, and community groups to strengthen relationships.

Internal Communications
-
Provide communication support to affiliated clubs.
-
Assist in preparing key messaging for the Executive Committee, President, and event organisers.

Share success stories and positive news from member clubs.

Crisis Communications
-
Prepare official responses for media and public enquiries during incidents or sensitive matters.

Support the Executive Committee in managing reputational risks.
Some of our team got TV spots on Creek to Coast with our K'gari Cleanup from 2025.
Our friends at the National 4x4 Show will be running their Show and Shine again this year.

Conservation. Access. Recreation. Environment. The CARE program is at the heart of 4WD QLD. Through key stakeholder relationships with landowners, the Association aims to improve and extend the Adopt-a-Track Programme, Track Classification for QLD and more.
