FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Date: 24 February 2012

OFF ROAD ACTIVITIES DURING EXTENDED WET WEATHER PERIODS

4WDQld are aware of trips conducted in areas after heavy rainfall and very wet conditions by groups not affiliated with 4WDQld . We would like to make it clear that 4WDQld in no way condones such activities by anyone. 4WDQld affiliated clubs are very environmentally aware and will cancel activities when conditions would lead to track damage.

4WDQld works closely with QPWS promoting ethical four wheel driving. 4WDQld encourages anyone who observes inappropriate behaviour in a national park or forest to contact the local park office.

Four Wheel Drive Queensland (4WDQld) was formed over 25 years ago in an effort to unite the voice of Four Wheel Drivers in promoting recreational Four Wheel Driving.

In 2012, 4WDQld membership exceeds 60 Clubs in QLD and Northern NSW, accounting for approximately 4000 4WD club memberships.

4WDQld encourages all offroading groups to visit our website www.4wdqld.com.au and read the 4WD Code of Ethics.
